One day, Father came home from work and handed me a sealed letter. When I looked at it, I saw that the sealing wax was the royal family’s crest.
“This is from His Majesty. This country’s Commerce Guild is under the control of the country, so His Majesty wrote a letter of recommendation, saying this would be convenient for you.”
Hmm, come to think of it, we ended up parting in a somewhat awkward atmosphere the last time we met… I would like to give His Majesty a letter of thanks and a novel gift to make him happy.
As I was thinking, I walked over to Mina, who was probably in the kitchen.
“Hey, Mina. I’d like to give your new danish to His Majesty as a gift. When will you be able to make it?”
When she heard that I was going to gift her Danishes to His Majesty, she was so surprised that Mina’s tail furrowed and grew thick.
“Hawawawawa… to His Majesty?! If I am able to work on the Danish as my work priority, I can have it ready the morning after tomorrow earliest,” she said, then looked at her superior, Bob, the head chef.
“Maria and I will back her up, and we’ll make it by that date, Miss.”
Bob beat his chest and told me to leave it to them. Maria also nodded her head in agreement.
“Thanks, everyone! Well then, I’ll be waiting for those danishes!”
Afterward, Mina asked me, “How many shall we prepare?”
“Could you make enough for a family of four. You can make a convenient amount of danishes,” I decided to try leaving the decision to Mina.
The next day, she prepared eight danishes, two each for four people. They were decorated with apples and peaches on top of the custard cream. I asked Father to bring them along to work as well with the letter of thanks I had written for His Majesty.
When Father came back that day, he told me that His Majesty was very pleased.
Yup, all good!

Then, on a certain weekday, I decided to go together with Father, who had taken a leave of absence, to the Commerce Guild to greet them in advance.
I decided to wear a formal dress, tie my hair in a bun, and wear an aquamarine and peridot hair ornament given to me by the merchant I had helped in the past.
The Commerce Guild was located in a large, towering building on the central street of the city.
The entire building, from the first floor to the top floor, was used by the Commerce Guild, which was amazing. Well, I suppose it is only natural since they supervise all the stores that do business in this country.
We went to the reception counter just near the entrance on the first floor of the building.
“Welcome. What can I do for you?” the woman at the reception desk asked.
Father picked me up. Then, my face moved to a height where the receptionist could easily see me.
“I am Viscount Preslaria and this is my daughter, Daisy. My daughter is planning to set up a store in this city. We have come to greet the guild in advance.”
Then, I presented a letter of recommendation stamped with the royal family’s sealing wax to the receptionist.
“Oh my, you have been recommended by His Majesty the King to open a business, correct? Please wait for me on the sofa so that I can inform my superiors.”
The receptionist returned the letter of recommendation to Father, bowed, then left her spot.
After waiting on the sofa for a while, the receptionist returned and came over to us.
“Viscount Preslaria, Miss Daisy, the guild leader would like to meet with you. This way, please,” the reception said, then led us to a door. When the door opened, I could only see a box that looked like only a few people could enter.
“Are we entering this small room?” I asked the receptionist as I wondered what I was going to do in this little room.
“Is this your first time on an ‘Elevator’?” I wondered if this was a common reaction, but the receptionist smiled and explained in a way that seemed like she was used to this question.
“Our building is so tall, so we use a magic tool called an ‘Elevator’ to move up and down the floors. It is powered by magic gems,” the receptionist explained as she led us inside with a gesture and operated the elevator.
The elevator moved upwards with a whirring sound, which gave me a strange sensation as my feet felt like they were floating.
“The visiting room is this way, please.”
The receptionist knocked on the door and opened it to ask us to enter. The receptionist knocked on the door and then opened it, inviting us to enter.
As we entered the room, a man in his prime with a good physique stood up and greeted us, “Viscount Preslaria and Miss Daisy, it is a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for taking the time to—”
The man’s words paused in surprise.
He was the same person—the merchant who we had saved when we went to collect in the Orkenia Meadows.
