Rosetti Company

“How was it, Ms. Dahlia?”

When she returned to the commercial guild, Ivano rushed out anxiously.

“I think Mr. Orlando should come here by the end of the day, so I’d like to request the cancellation papers. After that, please re-register it. It may be troublesome, but I would like to request the notary after that.”

“Understood.”

“Also, it was said that the Orlando company will not do business with me henceforth, so could you please introduce me to a company which I can go through for the buying raw materials?”

“Huh? That, did Mr. Tobias say that?”

Ivano’s mouth froze wide open.

“Yes, I was told so by Mr. Orlando, so I’m sure.”

“Apologies, I’ll need to check with the guild vice-chairman, so could you wait for a moment?”

“I too apologize, causing trouble for you once again…”

Dahlia let out a sigh as she watched Ivano run up the stairs.

Apparently, she still wouldn’t be returning home for a while.

“Oh, Dahlia, hello.”

Turning to the voice which came from behind her, it was Marcella.

“As expected, red hair suits you better, Dahlia. With this delivery, my work for the day is also about over.”

“Thank you, it’s all thanks to Irma’s skill. Say, Mr. Marcella, do you know about the shipping guild’s hood?”

“No, I just heard that we ran out of stock, so I recommended you to the registrants.”

“Thank you. I’ll make sure to work hard and send good ones.”

“If you do so, I’ll also be helped. Since it’s really troublesome to have luggage get wet.”

Marcella looked around.

“You have a meeting now?”

“Yes, for a new supplier, I’m looking for a new company to partner with. Since, It seems it’ll be complicated with Orlando company from here on out.”

In the commercial guild, individuals could also work, but the upper limit for single transactions got lowered in such a case.

In addition, there were trust issues, and purchase of raw material for magical devices was limited unless there was a company. To that end, Dahlia was searching for a company.

“Meeting up with the idiot is also a pain, after all.”

Dahlia decided to keep the fact that she already met Tobias, whom Marcella couldn’t bother to even call by name, a secret for the time being.

“Dahlia, just make a ‘Rosetti Company’ already. If you do that, you’d have as many sellers as you want.”

“A company? Setting aside the safety deposit, getting four guarantors is impossible.”

Dahlia replied to Marcella with a wry smile.

It was possible to make a company by oneself, however a deposit of 15 gold, and four guarantors were needed.

The guarantor must be an adult, must make a deposit of 4 gold or greater each and must have served as the president or vice-president of a firm registered with the commercial guild for at least three years; must have served as an employee in the commercial guild, shipping guild, clothing guild or any other related guild for at least three years; or must be a noble at the rank of a viscount or higher.

The responsibility of the guarantor is huge, and if the new company commits an illegal act, he or she, whether they knew about it or not, will be made to pay a large fine.

The deposit would be returned with interest after two years, but if the company crashes within those two years, not only would they lose the deposit, they’d have to pay any debt the company had accrued as well.

It was not a role one could take on lightly.

“ ‘Rosetti Company’ has a nice ring to it. I’m in favor of it, too.”

Walking down the hall towards them, Gabriella who seems to have been listening to them pitched in with a smile.

Behind her, were Ivano and the notary, Dominique.

“Ms. Dahlia, since everything is already in place right now, would you like to set up ‘Rosetti Company’?”

“If you do, I’ll be one of the guarantors.”

“Wait, Mr. Marcella! What are you talking about, without even consulting Irma!”

“If you’re worried about Irma, she’d be mad that we didn’t do it right away, without a doubt. Also, I’ll let you know even I easily have savings to that extent.”

“I too, would like to be a guarantor if I can. Ah, I didn’t give my name earlier, but it’s Mezzena Greaves.”

The maroon haired man who had helped move the luggage with Marcella, said.

“For the likes of me, why would you?”

“It’s purely an investment. The transportation industry used to be a fight against the rain, after all. Both the waterproof cover and the raincoat were a great help. If there will be more things like that, it’ll make my job easier so I’ll happily take out some money. Also, if possible, I’m looking forward to the automatic gates.”

Following Mezzena’s smile, Ivano raises his hand.

“I too want to be a guarantor. Not because I feel bad for Ms. Dahlia. I too am aiming for the profits, so please, make a profit in two years.”

“With this, we have three. I’d like to pitch in too, but a notary cannot become a guarantor, so I’ll recommend it to my son and grandchildren. I have a son and three grandchildren who are working in a place related to the guild, so I’m sure we’ll gather enough.”

Dominique said happily, but Dahlia’s mind couldn’t keep up with the speed at which the others were advancing the topic.

Such a deal seemed too good to be true, so Dahlia couldn’t help but wonder if the others weren’t just trying to cheer her up.

“Mr. Dominique, that won’t be necessary. I will bring one more out right away. It’s my husband, though.”

Guild vice-chairman Gabriella’s husband was the guild chairman, Viscount Zedda. Dahlia took a sharp breath involuntarily.

“The guild chairman will act as a guarantor, that’s nice. Just, I’d heard Viscount Zedda was in another country at the moment… Won’t arranging for the power of attorney take time?”

“It’s alright. I already have the power of attorney on my desk.”

Mrs. Vice-chairman, why do you keep the power of attorney for your husband with you, is everything really alright with that?

Everyone asked the same question to themselves, however no one could ask it out aloud seeing Gabriella’s perfect smile.

“Then, let’s continue this in the conference room.”

“Yes, lets. You’d be fine if I served as the notary, right Ms. Dahlia?”

“Wait a moment, everyone, is this really fine? Since it came up so suddenly, I haven’t made any preparations whatsoever, am a fledgeling magic device craftsman, and whether I can turn a reasonable profit in two years…”

“What are you saying, you became a full-fledged craftsman the moment you made waterproof cloth. If you want more research funds, shall we increase the number of guarantors? If I say ‘the developer of waterproof cloth wants to start a firm, so won’t you become a guarantor!’ at the shipping guild, we’ll get quite a few more.”

“If that’s the problem, right now, I could just go about asking around the commercial guild and simply increase the number, should I?”

“I’m begging you, please don’t!”

Any further than this and on top of herself not being able to keep up with the talk, Dahlia’s stomach wouldn’t be able to keep up either.

“Treating your deposit at the guild as the safety deposit, you can take from the deposit of the guarantors’ if you need additional money to operate. The workplace can be registered to be the Green Tower, there are eight documents, you can ask the staff including me about anything you don’t get, all that’s left is Ms. Dahlia’s willingness.”

Finishing her speech, Gabriella sent a glance towards Marcella and Ivano.

“See, Dahlia, the things you always wanted to use could be up for a buyer right now? Like a fire or wind dragon’s scales, or the skin of a sea serpent?”

“In the neighbouring country, I heard, an griffin had just been subjugated. You never know if a few remnants will come in. The trade volume with them has been increasing, so the sellers might have other rare materials too.”

Dahlia knew that the materials being mentioned were not only difficult to obtain, but also very expensive.

But, however, if you were a magical device craftsman, you’d dream.

Of making a super heat resistant item with the scales of a fire dragon.

If it was possible to make a flight type device with the scales of a wind dragon.

If the theory that a sea serpent could alter water currents with its skin was true.

Dream-like materials like those from a griffin, even if you got a tiny bit of it, you’d be able to fully enjoy it after the property checks.

Thinking of all the materials she hadn’t yet even seen, her heartbeat rose.

“… Then, let’s head to the conference room to sign the contract for starting a company.”

“Yes.”

Dahlia fell easily.

  1. Hahaha great story
Nice seeing all the people being so good to Dahlia
But I want more of that knight and Dahlia just hanging out, maybe even in Green Tower! That would be cool!

Thanks for the chapter Arocks, Arocks, Arocks and Manshiro

  2. Thanks for the translation! Every time I see a new chapter release for this I get excited! Can’t wait to see where it goes!

  3. Pro-tip: please quit switching back and forth between Dominic and Dominique. He’s one character, not two. Since the character is a man, the name should be Dominic. Dominique is pronounced differently. More importantly, Dominique is strictly a female name, being the feminized version of Dominic.
