I turned six.
I tried using [Appraisal] for the first time in a while and there was some change.

I learned the skill, Concealment, the skill [Appraisal] had been increased by one level, the [Gift] entry has been added, and [Green Spirit King’s Divine Protection] has come along with it. I wonder what this is? I’ve never seen a fairy or spirit before…
Putting that aside, Mother was previously worried there was a chance that I would be kidnapped by those targeting my Appraisal skill, so I quickly concealed it.

I dressed myself in the morning, then joined everyone at the breakfast table while reporting that I was able to hide my [Appraisal] skill thanks to learning the [Concealment] skill. Then, I received permission to go out with a maid. I’m so happy!
◆
I noticed my gift when I was watering in the morning.
There is something in the fields…
Lying on the soil or sitting on a leaf, the place was full of green creatures with wings on their backs.
“Umm…”
I couldn’t find a word to put on it.
Rather, they were the ones that called out to me.
“Daisy! You finally noticed us.”
“You’re late!”
“Late!”
They swooped and flew around me.
“Well, who are…”
I was puzzled by these creatures.
“Green fairies, of course!”
They were fairies.
“Good grief! We’ve been helping you so much and you don’t even notice!”
A girlish fairy flew around me.
“Help me?”
In the first place. I haven’t even been aware of its existence, so of course, I wouldn’t notice what it has done for me. I tried honestly asking the flying girl.
“Weeding!”
“We’ve been getting rid of those leaf-eating insects too!”
…Come to think of it, I haven’t done much weeding or gotten rid of bugs in my fields. I thought that Dan was taking care of it for me.
According to them, they were already there when I was helping Dan take care of the roses. They said that the greenery I worked so hard on was full of life and comfortable to live with.
Eventually, when I created the field, they came along. Now they have taken a liking to me and have settled down here.
But even so, I never noticed them no matter how much time passed.
The fairies were so frustrated that they appealed to the Green Spirit King to make it so I can see the green fairies, thus giving me my gift [Green Spirit King’s Divine Protection].
Thus they now seem to be excited that they can finally communicate with me.
“Wow, thank you so much for helping me! Hmm, is there anything you’d like as thanks for always helping me?”
“It’s fine! We love the nutrients you make after all! But, we also like sweets!”
They also love sweets, and they said a little bit of the nutrient mixed in when watering everyday is enough for them.
“Oh right! Today’s your birthday, right!? We have a present for you, so bring the basket along with you!” the fairy girl suddenly told me.
I did as I was told and brought the basket with me.
Then she said, “Come here,” then the flying fairy girl walked into the forest behind the house. I followed her.
“We’re here!”
The fairy stopped in front of some plant.
In front of the plant was a bunch of blackberries closely-packed together.
“Wow! There’s so many!” I squealed with excitement.
I was so impressed that I shouted out, and the fairy smiled happily when she saw my joy.
I went home with a basket full of blackberries, and my birthday dinner was accompanied with a dessert with plenty of berry jam.
Then, before I went to bed, I secretly put some of the jam on a small plate and left it by the fields. The fairies gathered around and happily licked the jam off the plate.
