While meditating, I observed the state of the other adventurers, and several adventurers came to the guild’s training school.

“Oi, I heard there was a light brown girl named Tet here, who is it!”

The adventurers that seemed ill-bred and had a raspy voice like they were drunk designated Tet.

“A new challenger? Fine! Come one at a time from wherever!”
“Wrong. Idiottt! Her head is stupid like we heard.”

They carried a wooden sword to use for the mock battle, but Tet looked slightly suspicious of people who were different from expectation.
Then, the delinquent adventurers, who had business with Tet, discharged something unknown in front of her.

“It seems like you’ve been trained quite a bit before entering the guild! You, enter our party. You get 10 percent of the spoils. I’ll rank you up immediately.”

It seems like they came to solicit Tet to join their party.
However, they appeared suddenly, talked one-sidedly and bothered the adventurers around them.

“Hmm? I don’t know if I don’t ask Majo-sama~.”

It seems like Tet wasn’t able to decide and spoke as if leaving all the decision making to me as I had a wry smile in my heart.

The surroundings adventurers glared at the ill-bred adventurers that appeared with displeasure—-“Zans! We didn’t call for you delinquent adventurers.” “Go back to your usual bar!” “If you don’t have money, go to work! If you’re proud of your strong strength, then go on the orc subjugation.”—-and jeered at them,

From the contents of the jeering, it seems like they’re adventurers with bad behavior and only uses force.

Properly speaking, I probably shouldn’t get involved, but as Tet’s master, I can’t afford to run away. 1

“Do you have business with my companion?”:

I approached Tet’s side and began to talk to the ill-bred adventurers that called out to her.

“I’m the witch Chise who’s teamed up in a party with Tet. If you’re inviting us to your party, then we refuse.”
“Kids shouldn’t butt in! We have business with that wheat girl! Brats should just go home right away.”

I wondered if he knew that I was teamed up with Tet in a party? He took an attitude of looking down on me.

Also, he called Tet a ‘wheat girl’. Certainly, she had beautiful light-brown skin, but it felt like he was gradually making fun of Tet and I got angry. 2

“Oi, wheat girl! Are you fine with that brat making use of you? If you became an adventurer, you gotta live more freely.”

“Hm? I like Majo-sama. It’s good if I’m able to be together with Majo-sama~.”

“I’m telling you I don’t care if she’s a witch or a b*tch, but you’ll be good if you listen to us! If you listen, we’ll raise your rank easily.”

They raised their voice as if threatening her.

Then, I concentrated my magic powers to my eyes and noticed that the other party was overpowering by placing their magic power in their voice instantaneously.

It’s an unconscious threat.

For the beginners who haven’t learned a method to oppose that magic power, they would be forced without even saying yes or no.

As I silently investigated, I saw that Tet was holding herself back at my side and thought of the opponents that have threatened us in the same way so far.

“Looking very carefully, that brat over there doesn’t have a bad face. I’ll let you join the party as a member along with the wheat girl, however, the two of you will receive 10 percent of the total of the rewards! I’ll also have you do various other miscellaneous tasks, but since it’s newcomer’s training, don’t complain about it!”

I felt a bad feeling of human evil coming from the delinquent adventurers who looked at my body and Tet’s breasts as if licking them all over.

“I’ll refuse.”
“Huh? B*tch, do you know what situation you’re in!? Do ya think two girls can survive in the adventurer business!? Are you an idiot like that wheat girl over there who’s daydreaming!?”

While holding back my anger as I refused, the other side pulled out the sword that was handing on their waist.
While I was thinking about the coercing guinea pig that I was going to test my mana release that I just learned, Tet passed by my side, and bashed the delinquent leader’s face.

“—-Don’t say bad things about Majo-samaaaa!”

The delinquent adventurers that pulled out their weapons to threaten us, but Tet’s fist strike broke each of their weapons, threw a punch at all their member’s face, and they sunk to the ground with one blow.

Especially the leader of the adventurers called Zans had collapsed on the ground, and Tet began to kick him numerous times as he was down.

“Take back your slander against Majo-sama! Take it back!”
“Tet, stop! He already fainted! Stop attacking him when he’s down! I’m all right!”

While flustered, I stopped Tet and separated them. Tet looked in my direction, her eyes began to moisten, and she began to shed tears.

“Uwaaa, after all, after all, they were talking stupid things about Majo-samaaaa—-.”
“Ahh, it’s alright. It’s fine, so it’s okay~.”

The time since Tet had been born hasn’t been that long, so it seems like her emotional side was still quite childish.

I was dense regarding malice towards myself, but I wonder if this is the nature of the golem protecting its user.

While trying to calm down Tet who kept crying for quite a time, the looks of the other adventurers were asking what to do with those delinquents.

For the time being, they were adventurers so they weren’t dead, but they received a cerebral concussion from the knockout with one punch in the face, and their faces were swollen dark red.

Then, Zans, the leader who received the final blow, seemed to have injured his face but also broke several ribs from Tet’s kick, and painful moans could be heard.

“Umm. for the time being, in order to destroy the evidence, I’m going to cast…. Tet?”

Tet stopped crying, but maybe because she didn’t like me curing the ones that made fun of me, she grabbed my clothes and shook her hand left and right while looking downwards.

“Ahh, what should I do? This……”

  1. Random translator rant. Honestly, this is what I hate about Asians. As an Asian, I hate the fact that no one ever stands up for someone getting bullied or called out. In America, people will stand up for you even on the streets if someone’s messing with you, but in Asia (especially China, Korean, and Japan), no one will help you out of bad situations. This is a cultural problem that has existed for ages, not in the past few years. This is also why Japanese main characters seem like they don’t care about a lot of situations. As long as it doesn’t affect them, it’s a cultural thing to just leave it alone.
  2. Light-brown color is 小麦色 (literally means color of wheat) and without the 色, it becomes ‘wheat’, thus why she was called wheat girl.

  1. Thanks a lot for the chapter.
I would have really liked if Chise would have used the same intimidation tactic to make them piss their pants xD
But the sudden outburst of Tet was also good

  2. “In America, people will stand up for you even on the streets if someone’s messing with you”

Where did you hear that piece of fiction dear translator? In America the concept is ‘out of sight out of mind, if there is a problem just look away and it will be out of sight.’ Americans hate intervening in anything if it will require them to deviate from their personal lives.

I say this as an American who has seen every type of person including educators, turn their heads and look the other way to avoid involving themselves in trouble.

The only way to get someone to intervene in trouble is if the person in trouble is black or latino and got killed by a white cop.
