When I was aware that I was born, I heard words that I wasn’t familiar with from the wet nurse.

“You are descended from the Duke Keikain household.”

Why is the noble system still left in modern-day Japan!?

No, before that, the Keikain Family!?

That sounds extremely familiar though!?

The reason why I didn’t retort to those words was that my mouth can’t articulate right now. All I could say is “auau” right now, but thanks to that, I didn’t have the time to wonder why I was alive or why I was a toddler.

There was something I had to confirm in a hurry.

“Unya?”

“Yes, yes, there there.”

The wet nurse embraced me and gently rocked me.

I can’t tell. One more try!

“Eeain Unya?”

“Yes, yes, unyaa~~~ unyaa~~~.”

I won’t believe it!

One more try!

“E~kain Runya?”

“Oh dear! Runa-sama, that’s right. Your name is Runa, Keikain Runa-sama.”

“Una~~~~!!!!”

“Yes, Runa, Ru-Na!”

I was the villainess that appeared in the otome game that I loved, Keikain Runa.

That was the name of the villainess who was denounced on September 15th, when she was 18, by the game’s main character and the male capture targets.

The same name as the villainess whose fate was to f-fall in ruin… This is ominous, too ominous.

For a while after this moment, I lived on in order to confirm whether “I reincarnated into a game, was promised to fall into ruin, and that I became the villainess, Keikain Runa”.

1. My ruin is guaranteed.

I don’t know about this as I have not been able to ascertain it.

At least, I put it off, since it’s impossible to confirm whether I can or cannot go against my fate.

2. Whether I became Keikain Runa, the young miss of the duke family.

This took quite some time to ascertain.

It was easy to understand my name and the duke’s daughter’s name, but there was a chance that we have the same first and last name by chance.

I recalled the surrounding relatives’ names from the setting, so it was necessary to confirm them one by one.

The results were that it was not possible to deny that Runa’s relatives’ names matched.

3. Whether I was reincarnated into a game or not.

A negative answer appeared relatively quick for this one.

There are many things that may be exclusive to the main character such as likeability chimes for people you meant for the first time and choice windows, but I could tell that it was different just from the scenery.

The sky doesn’t have light blue, and black and white lines, plus the clouds weren’t the same shape as in rain and cloudy events.

The shade of colors, shadows, and details change hour by hour and it was overwhelmingly realistic.

The trees in the garden were also realistic.

It was impossible for this to be inside a game.

The people’s answers weren’t standard and they adapted to an infinite amount of dialogue patterns, another thing that would make this not a game.

In a certain film, the world itself was perfectly re-simulated, and another world was simulated in that world… There was a chance that this might be a cyber world like that one, but in such a world, the world was no different from reality and thus should be viewed as reality.

So is this the so-called parallel universe?

It’s a world that’s similar but has various differences.

If that’s the case, I should investigate how different that world is compared to the one I was born in, raised in, and died a miserable death in, and how I should move from now on in the future.

Even if this wasn’t inside a game, this was a parallel universe based on reality. If this world resembles the game’s setting and my fate is similar to the game’s events, then what awaits me is ruin.

I can’t help but struggle.

  1. Thanks for the chapter.

Also, I believe this line has a mistake.
I can’t tell. One more try!”
    There’s a [“] at the end, when it shouldn’t.
