3: Slave Without A Pet Name
Oooooh
A dragon
4: Slave Without A Pet Name
Read some articles about them from veterinarians online.
Otherwise, it might be faster to go to a pet shop or vet’s office and just ask them directly.
5: Slave Without A Pet Name
For now, OP should pick a screen name.
6: Slave Without A Pet Name
Someone just threw away a dragon?
Did Hell freeze over?
7: Slave Without A Pet Name
If you’ve picked it up, you have to take responsibility until the end for it.
8: Slave Without A Pet Name
The dragon is your precious child now! (conviction)
9: Slave Without A Pet Name
>>8
Nah, rich people will grab it
They’ll buy it
10: Slave Without A Pet Name
But, is it really a dragon?
11: Slave Without A Pet Name
If it’s a monitor lizard, you’re on your own.
12: Slave Without A Pet Name
I’m having flashbacks to “taking your slime for a walk” now.
13: Slave Without A Pet Name
Hey, the demand for monster pets has gone up recently.
The Slime Time is upon us.
14: Slave Without A Pet Name
Slimes, they come in many colors
So obedient
So quiet
15: Slave Without A Pet Name
He has to be rich, whether he actually has a dragon or not.
16: Slave Without A Pet Name
I don’t think rich guys would show up on a site like this.
17: Slave Without A Pet Name
No, no, no.
To begin with, if you’re rich wouldn’t you get your pet from a shop?
You wouldn’t need to ask for help online.
18: Slave Without A Pet Name
Understand how I feel when looking at one month old puppies
19: Slave Without A Pet Name
>>18
Well, it is a store that sells living things.
20: Slave Without A Pet Name
From a safety perspective, it’s safer to buy one from a store.
21: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
((((;゜Д゜))))
This is OP.
Oh, I found it in a plastic bag from a convenience store that had been thrown away.
Here’s an image from when I first picked it up, about one month ago.
By the way, I named it Gonsuke.
[Picture of a baby dragon, small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. From the side, it looks like an ordinary lizard.]
At first, I thought it was a lizard, and raised it as such.
But now it looks like this.
[Image of a pure white dragon wearing a dog collar and leash playing in a park or garden.]
22:Slave Without A Pet Name
COOL!
It’s a Holy Dragon type!!
Is it still a baby?
23: Slave Without A Pet Name
OOOOOOOH!
–The highest grade!
24: Slave Without A Pet Name
They’re famous for being difficult to raise and form bonds with.
25: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
Hard to bond with?
No, that’s not the case.
26: Slave Without A Pet Name
If it’s a dragon, it should go through an evolution process.
Have you noticed anything like that happening?
27: Person Who Picked Up a Dragon
Evolution?
Nothing like that.
Just molting.
My grandmother puts the shed skins in her wallet.
28: Slave Without A Pet Name
>>27
Like a snake lol
29: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
Early on, he transformed his tail.
I was surprised when he opened the lid of the aquarium.
I thought it was some sort of new breed of lizard that could do magic tricks.
30: Slave Without A Pet Name
Hold on, you seriously thought it was a lizard after seeing that?
31: Slave Without A Pet Name
When did you finally realize Gonsuke was a dragon?
After it got big?
Didn’t you check its status to begin with?
32: Slave Without A Pet Name
Didn’t you take it to a vet’s office?
33: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
>>31
A friend who could read the status told me.
I hadn’t checked the status because we live way out in the country.
>>32
It looked healthy, and it’s not like a dog or cat.
I thought about taking it to a vet after a few days, but I didn’t because it seemed healthy.
34: Slave Without A Pet Name
Huh?
By the way, isn’t this the first time OP has raised a dragon?
Still, if it’s still healthy after being kept as a lizard, I guess it’s a success.
35: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
How kind of you to say it’s successful.
But yeah, I cared for it normally.
Actually, I had just taken him for his first walk when he got this big.
My mother said it would be good for his health.
36: Slave Without A Pet Name
I’ve heard that dragons have a lot of pride and hate collars.
Did it just let you put the collar on?
37: Slave Without A Pet Name
Yeah!
38:Slave Without A Pet Name
It’s a very high-class breed of dragon.
I’ve heard they don’t get very big.
But Gonsuke-kun is big
39: Slave Without A Pet Name
Convenience store bags, man. They do terrible things.
40: Slave Without A Pet Name
It’s the same with dogs and cats.
I mean, if you have a pet you can’t travel freely.
That’s why some people throw them away.
41: Slave Without A Pet Name
Have you heard
Someone doesn’t want their dog any more, so they tie its leash to a tree in the forest and just leave it there.
42: Slave Without A Pet Name
After that, it gets taken to the public health center and disposed of.
Not that I’m suggesting you do something like that.
43: Slave Without A Pet Name
I hear bad stories like that a lot.
44: Slave Without A Pet Name
Animals aren’t objects to use and throw away.
45: Slave Without A Pet Name
Unbelievable, put in a plastic bag and thrown out like trash.
46: Slave Without A Pet Name
OP, I understand Gonsuke was in a plastic bag.
47: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
>>46
Yeah, the bag was moving.
So I picked it up, thinking about a story I’d heard from a friend of my grandma.
48: Slave Without A Pet Name
A story you heard from someone?
49: Slave Without A Pet Name
How are you feeding Gonsuke-kun?
Since you mistook it for a lizard, did you feed it insects at first?
50: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
>>48
An old lady in my neighborhood went to throw out garbage a few days before and had heard the voice of a kitten, but couldn’t find the source.
After searching, she saw a garbage bag was moving, and it seems there were several kittens that someone had thrown away inside.
>>49
I tried to, but he wouldn’t eat the insects at all.
I live on a farm, so I gave him some cabbage and he ate it.
After that, he ate some of the cat’s food without permission.
Since then, my mother sometimes gives him (raw) meat for dinner.
He really enjoys the taste.
51:Slave Without A Pet Name
OP, no matter what breed it is.
There’s no kind of lizard that can use magic.
If it can use magic, it’s either a chimera or dragon.
52: Slave Without A Pet Name
Cat food
53: Slave Without A Pet Name
A dragon that eats cat food lololol
54: Slave Without A Pet Name
Oh, I see. OP thought it was a cat in the bag and picked up Gonsuke-kun instead.
55: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
>>54
Exactly.
I thought it was a dog or cat.
56: Slave Without A Pet Name
I don’t think it’s a dragon.
57: Slave Without A Pet Name
Palm-sized Gonsuke really does look like a lizard or snake.
58: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
By the way, it seems all the kittens from Grandma’s story were given good homes afterwards.
59: Slave Without A Pet Name
I’m glad they were taken care of.
60: Slave Without A Pet Name
As for the Holy Dragon type, it should be allowed to sun itself, but if that’s not an option an ultraviolet light will work as well.
Oh, and maybe a heater.
61: Slave Without A Pet Name
Oh, finally some actual advice
62: Slave Without A Pet Name
>>61
Not much that can be done, it’s a pet that no ordinary person could afford.
Compared to the price of cats or dogs sold at pet stores, there’s no comparison.
It’s not something you’d see for sale, even at a specialty shop.
63: Slave Without A Pet Name
Sunbathing, and maybe take it for a walk?
64: Slave Without A Pet Name
But really, how difficult will it be to raise when it’s said to be hard even for professionals to do so?
65: Slave Without A Pet Name
The Holy Dragon type can grow to be as big as a house
It might be able to learn magic to change the size of its body
Also, even at the current size you should prepare a kennel.
66: Slave Without A Pet Name
What are you doing for a toilet?
67: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
Hmm, a kennel.
Oh, for the toilet it uses the same litter box as my cat.
However, since he grew recently, I had to buy Gonsuke an extra-large litter box.
Still uses the same type of litter as the cat, though.
68: Slave Without A Pet Name
Kitty litter?
69: Slave Without A Pet Name
What about bathing?
70: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
I wipe down his body sometimes.
But when my mother or I take a bath, he waits with Pon (my cat) in the hallway outside the bathroom.
71: Slave Without A Pet Name
Awww, how cute lol
72: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
By the way, he likes to beg my parents for food at dinner time.
Pon begs for raw meat and fish.
Gonsuke started imitating her.
73: Slave Without A Pet Name
It’s not a good thing for people to eat.
74: Slave Without A Pet Name
I’m curious to begin with
Why is it so difficult to raise a dragon?
75: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
I don’t feel like it’s been hard to raise so far
76: Slave Without A Pet Name
The biggest reason is
Dragons, they have a shitload of pride
They choose their own master
In other words, if it doesn’t accept you, you’ll have nothing but problems keeping one as a pet
So, there are many cases where the owner isn’t compatible and the dragon dies from stress
77: Slave Without A Pet Name
76 Continued
Therefore, if you’re rich you can take care of them by hiring specialty staff from the breeder.
So they can show them off at parties and things like that.
Because they keep them for status purposes.
Some of them may raise them properly with love
78: Slave Without A Pet Name
What’s up with that
Like showing off your new car
79: Slave Without A Pet Name
Status, huh
80: Slave Without A Pet Name
My cat isn’t fancy, but he’s cute!
81: Slave Without A Pet Name
I heard that some people throw away black cats because they don’t look as pretty.
82: Slave Without A Pet Name
At any rate, that’s why it costs so much to buy a dragon.
83: Slave Without A Pet Name
OP, how much does it cost to buy enough cat food to feed a dragon?
84: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
I’m not sure, especially if he keeps growing.
But my family are farmers, and there’s plenty of vegetables not fit for market
85: Slave Without A Pet Name
Well, might as well feed them to the dragon
86: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
Right
However, I was told I should also work part-time to pay for food.
I have to apply to school, too
87: Slave Without A Pet Name
Oh, OP is a student?
88:Slave Without A Pet Name
Well, please be careful
89: Slave Without A Pet Name
>>88
?
90: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
>>88
Uh, what are you talking about?
91: Slave Without A Pet Name
>>90
Thieves
92: Slave Without A Pet Name
Oh, I get it
It’s a rare breed, so it’s very likely someone will try to steal it
93: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
Huh, but it’s an animal not an object?
94: Slave Without A Pet Name
It’s a status symbol for rich people?
You can sell it at a high price
It’s easier to steal it without going to the trouble of raising it, right?
95: Slave Without A Pet Name
Oh–, I see
96: Slave Without A Pet Name
Just steer clear of anybody that seems suspicious
97: Slave Without A Pet Name
Scary scary
98: Slave Without A Pet Name
But, can you really steal a dragon?
99: Slave Without A Pet Name
If it gets used to being around people and doesn’t shy away from strangers, it might be possible to steal it quietly.
100: Person Who Picked Up A Dragon
Hmm. For the time being, let’s have Gonsuke practice breathing fire.

Just found this novel. Lol, the chat is hilarious.
Translation seems good so far, keep up the good work! Looking forward to read more.
It seems reading 10 nen goshi neet. LOL
Thanks for the chapter!
All those comments and only one or two with some useful advice. Seems dragon really has taken a shine to MC. Should talk to a vet or experts for advice. Here’s my opinion for why raising dragons is difficult, the rich people buy the dragon, and either aren’t compatible or spend too little time with the dragon and leave everything to servants. After all it’s prideful and yet the person it’s suppose to bond with treats it like a trophy to display rather than a living creature with feelings.
